Nick F. Strizzi, 90, of Greensburg, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Brookdale Nursing Home, Latrobe. He was born May 10, 1928 in Greensburg, a son of the late Luciano and Assunto (DiCicco) Strizzi. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he had been employed by Elliott Company, Jeannette. He was an active member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg, Elliott Retirees and United Steelworkers. He was an Army veteran serving as a combat engineer in the Korean Conflict. Nick always enjoyed baking and gardening. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, infants Frank and Nick, Anthony Strizzi, Amerigo Strizzi, and Frank Strizzi; and two sisters, Agnes Strizzi and Jennie Bartolomucci. He is survived by his wife, Nora A. (Manzi) Strizzi; four daughters, Michele Merlino and husband Keith, of Oakdale, Darlene Allison and husband Ric, of Greensburg; Nancy Laskoski and husband Jim, of Greensburg, and Lynn Whitmore and husband Scott, of Monroeville; eight grandchildren, Greg, Kristen, Megan, Brian, Dominic, Peter, Isabella and Julie; five great-grandchildren, Rylee, Danielle, Braden, Madison and Clayton; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard. www.bachafh.com
