Joseph A. Florek

Joseph A. Florek, 74, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his home.  He was born July 20, 1944 in Pleasant Valley, a son of the late John and Magdalene (Haluck) Florek.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by South Greensburg Printing Company and later Walmart.  He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Yakel. He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. (Hartman) Florek; 2 daughters, Jennifer Gernhardt and husband Dave and Julie Loughran and husband Michael, all of Greensburg; 8 grandchildren, Alyssa Loughran, Ryan Loughran, Connor Loughran, Maura Loughran, Margaret Loughran, Meredith Loughran, David Gerhardt and Emily Gerhardt; a brother, John Florek and wife Kathy of Greensburg; a sister, Theresa Shoe and her husband Lewis of New Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews.  At Joseph’s request there will be no public visitation or service.
