Joseph R. DePrimio, Sr., 96, of Greensburg, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.  He was born April 24, 1921 in Greensburg, a son of the late Pietro and Nicola (Cremonese) DePrimio.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by Robertshaw Controls. He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg. He was a US Army Veteran serving in World War II; a member of American Legion Post 981, South Greensburg; the Roosevelt Club, Hempfield Township; Fort Allen Firemens Club and the former Carbon Firemens Club.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara M. (Cindric) DePrimio on October 6, 1998; his daughter, Joan Kocevar; 6 brothers: Anthony, James, John, Frank (Midge), Alfred and Daniel DePrimio; 3 sisters: Anne Cassidy, Viola DePrimio and Desoline DePrimio.  He is survived by his son: Joseph R. DePrimio, Jr. and his friend Sandy, of Ligonier; 2 daughters: Barbara Brklycica and her husband Thomas and Deborah DePrimio, all of Greensburg; a son in law: Jerry Kocevar , of Greensburg; 6 Grandchildren: Michael, Tracy, Nicholas, Shelley, Stefani and Ashley; 7 Great-Grandchildren: Julia, Jenna, Dominick, Katie, Mila, Emma, and Evan; several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  Full Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #981, South Greensburg.  The family would like to thank Walden’s View for the excellent care their father received. www.bachafh.com
