John J. Krysevig

April 6, 1932 ~ September 16, 2018 (age 86)

John J. “Jack” Krysevig, 86, of South Greensburg, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Walden’s View, North Huntingdon.  He was born April 6, 1932 in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Blanche (Smudski) Krysevig.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by PPG Industries of South Greensburg.  He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, an Army veteran of the Korean conflict serving as a staff sergeant for three years in Gemany. He was a member of American Legion Post 981 of South Greensburg and the VFW Post 33 of Greensburg.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna B. (Baird) Krysevig; his son Mark A. Krysevig and his wife Karen of Upper St. Clair; his daughter Beth A. Durci and her husband Edward of North Huntingdon; 3 grandchildren, Kaitlin Debar (Gary), Taylor Lynch (Adam) and Benjamin Durci; and a great grandson, Dylan Debar. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery with Full Military Honors accorded by American Legion Post 981 Honor Guard. The family would like to thank the memory care center at Walden’s View for their kind and compassionate care and also Anova Hospice.
