John R. Broker

John R. Broker, 55, of Southwest Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born September 7, 1962 in Jeannette, a son of Patricia (Cain) Broker, of Harrison City and the late John S. Broker.  John had worked as a chef at Parkwood Inn, Southwest Greensburg.  He loved cooking, gardening, and canning all the vegetables he grew.  He also loved his fish and his cat, and enjoyed watching Jeopardy on television.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Michael Pennell; and his father-in-law, George Bishop.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cheryl A. (Fink) Broker; his daughter, Brittany Prinkey (Adam), of Ruffsdale; his mother-in-law; LouJean Bishop, of Delmont; his brother, Joseph Broker (Dawn), of Williamsburg, VA; two sisters, Jean Farrow (Brett) and June Howell, all of Harrison City; and several nieces and nephews.  Honoring John’s request, all services are private.  LEO M.
