John A. Boratko

John A. Boratko, 71, of Jeannette, died Monday, June 11, 2018 at his home.  He was born July 18, 1946 in New Kensington, a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Bobak) Boratko.  Prior to retirement he had been employed in the security department of Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  John was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was also a recipient of the Bronze Star Metal.  He was a member of the VFW Post #33, Greensburg.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn M. (Williams) Boratko; and his son Jeffery John Boratko. He is survived by his daughters, Ronna Stewart, of Cranberry Township, and Stacy Lauffer, of Greensburg; 3 grandchildren; and his brother Bert R. Boratko, of Boca Raton, FL.  Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 AM Saturday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11AM Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. John M. Smaligo officiating.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.  www.bachafh.com
