Joan S. Cope

Joan S. Cope, 71, of Jeannette, died Friday, June 1, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born September 1, 1946 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late John and Sophie (Stanick) Sopko.  Prior to retirement she had been employed by the Central Tax Bureau.  She attended Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, Greensburg.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Guidas.  She is survived by her husband, Harry G. Cope; a son, David H. Cope and his wife Sara of Jeannette; a daughter, Jennifer Clausius and her husband Scott of Lewes Delaware; 4 grandchildren, John Robbins, Makenna Cope, Zackary Clausius, and Carrie Clausius. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service beginning at 11 AM Monday at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, Greensburg with the Rev. John M. Smaligo officiating.   LEO M.
