Jessica Lynn McEwen, 26, of Greensburg, passed away on November 5, 2017. Jessica was born on July 1, 1991 in Jeannette.  Jessica attended Hempfield Area High School, graduating in 2009 with high honors. During her time at Hempfield High School, she was an active member of Hempfield Women’s Diving team. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in mid-level education. Jessica aspired to be an educator for middle school children and enjoyed sharing her gifts in the classroom.  Jessica enjoyed snowboarding, spending time with friends, and working as a lifeguard during her summers. Jessica is survived by her father, Geoffrey McEwen, her mother, Lisa Seaman and stepfather, Joe Seaman; three sisters, Anna McEwen, Laura McEwen and Sarah Caston, her brother-in-law Terry Caston; great-grandmothers, Helen Hizer and Helen Severino, grandparents, George McEwen, Linda Berk, Linda and Garry Hizer, and Ron and Gerry Seaman; aunts and uncles, Missy and Donald Komoroski, Jill and Patrick Cahalane, Garry and Jennifer Hizer, and cousins Alex Zigarovich, Emma and Julia Komoroski, and Garry Hizer Jr. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Laurel McEwen. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday in Life Church, 372 Slate Run Road, Greensburg with Pastor Dan Kaser officiating.
