Hazel J. Manning, 83, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born April 8, 1934 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Laird and Winifred (Hutchinson) Hepler. Prior to retirement she had been a switchboard operator at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Hazel was a member of First Baptist Church, Greensburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. “Chuck” Manning on November 8, 2007; and her daughter, Patricia L. Manning. She is survived by her son, John Manning and companion Juliette Beaudry of Mason City, IA; her daughter, Debbie Bernatt and husband Frank Charles of Ponte Vedra, FL; five grandchildren, Kent Edwards, Caitlin Bernatt, Colin Bernatt, Molly Ulseth and husband Andy, and Hillary Manning and boyfriend Colin Stanhill; her niece, Carole Horton of Acme; and her neighbors who treated her like family. There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 AM Friday in First Baptist Church, 1228 Brinkerton Rd., Greensburg with Dr. Clifford Hockensmith officiating. LEO M.
