Ernie F. Medaglio, 91, of Coraopolis, formerly of South Greensburg, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in his home.  He was the loving husband of 61 years of the late Rose Ann (Newhouse) Medaglio who died April 9, 2012.  He was the father of Victoria A. Gibbons and husband John M. of Moon Township; grandfather of Cheri Collins and husband Dan of Moon Township and Jacquelyn Gibbons and fiancée Brendan Byrne of Chicago; and great-grandfather of Jonathan and Jenna Collins.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law: Gloria Medaglio of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Rosina (Spinelli) Medaglio; his sister: Maxine Zweigart; and two brothers: Joseph and Dominic Medaglio.  He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Moon Township and a former member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg where he so loved his church and served as an usher for 28 years and church council for 12 years.  He had served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the AMS Club, South Greensburg and American Legion Post #981, South Greensburg for 67 years.  Ernie was retired from the former Walworth Valve Company, South Greensburg and later the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority.  Friends will be received from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Services and interment will be private.  Full Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #981, South Greensburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
