Donald R. Walko, 91, of Ohio Township, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Vincentian Home, McCandless.  He was born June 9, 1926 in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Diriske) Walko.  Prior to his retirement, he was a machinist and blacksmith with ITE Greensburg for 38 years.   He was a member the United Electrical Workers (UE) Local 625, serving as an international delegate and secretary.  Don was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WWII.  He was an active member of the South Greensburg American Legion Post #981 for over 50 years, where as a member of the Honor Guard, he served at over 1,000 military funerals.  He was a lifelong member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Michaelena (Damico) Walko on August 1, 2004, a brother, Joseph Walko, and four sisters, Theresa Droske, Eleanor Fissell, Ruth Frank and Esther Lovera.  He is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie Hay and husband Gary of Ligonier, and a son, the Honorable Judge Donald R. Walko, Jr., and wife Julie Jarbeck Walko of Ohio Township.  Also survived by six grandchildren, Joni Hay Patras (Matt), Melissa Hay Chase (Gary), Jessika Albin, Nicholas Walko, Nathaniel Walko, and Gabriella Walko; and three great-grandchildren, Ella Patras, Evan Patras and Jackson Chase.  At the time of his passing, Don was looking forward to the arrival of his fourth great-grandchild due November 13, 2017.  Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Additional visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday in the funeral home where prayers will begin at 10:30 AM.  A funeral mass will follow at 11 AM in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, 1715 Poplar Street, South Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery with Full Military Honors accorded by the American Legion Post #981, South Greensburg.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt love and gratitude to the wonderful staff at Vincentian Home, who cared for him by providing incredible care, affection and humor for the past five and a half years.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vincentian Home, 111 Perrymont Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, Attn: Sister Karen.  www.bachafh.com
