Betty Jane Gower, 88, of New Alexandria, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Oak Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Greensburg.  She was born May 5, 1929 in Plum Township, a daughter of the late George R. and Wilda E. (Cline) Todd.  She was Protestant by faith.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Lionel D. Gower, Sr. on February 20, 2005; and three brothers: John E., Leonard E. and Clifford Todd.  She is survived by her son: Lionel Dale Gower, Jr. and wife Idamae of Clinton; two daughters: Sandra L. Kellerman and Terri L. Gower both of New Alexandria; two grandchildren: Melissa Strobel and husband Erik of Crabtree and Raina Egan and husband Jason of New Alexandria; four great-grandchildren: Aislinn, Hannah, Seth and Rowan Strobel; her sister: Dolores Danser of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 12:30 to 2 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral service will begin at 2 PM with Betty’s nephew, Pastor Leonard Morgan officiating.  Private interment in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, P.O.
