Angelo F. Daversa, 96, of South Greensburg, died Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was born February 24, 1922 in Greensburg, a son of the late John Sr. and Florence (Germano) Daversa. Prior to retirement in 1984, he had been employed by ITE in South Greensburg with 38 years of service. He was also a well-known plumber. He was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg; Roosevelt Club, Hempfield Township; American Legion Post 981, South Greensburg; and was an Army veteran serving in the 158th Infantry, Bushmasters during WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary I. (Fedon) Daversa on October 31, 2002, and two brothers, Mike and John Daversa. He is survived by his daughter, Judith A. Daversa, of Bellingham, WA; 4 grandchildren, Angela Noppe, of Greensburg, Manden Noppe (Rachel), of Hagerstown, MD, Marissa Noppe, of Bellingham, WA, and Adrienne Noppe Wellendorf (Kris), of Bellingham, WA; a great-granddaughter, Harper Noppe; two sisters, Donna Pahnos (Michael) and Mary Batchko; his longtime friend, Judy Moon, all of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont with full military honors accorded by American Legion Post 981 Honor Guard. www.bachafh.com
