A. Margaret “Sis” (Hegland) Smartnick, 87, of Greensburg, died Tuseday, November 14, 2017 in her son’s home.  She was born November 11, 1930 in Penn, a daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret (Herrholtz) Hegland.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Edward R. Smartnick on October 31, 2003; her son: Damian B. Smartnick; and two brothers: Robert and Donald Hegland.  She is survived by her children: Linda J. Smartnick, David M. Smartnick and wife Janet, Douglas C. Smartnick and wife Kerry, and Patrick J. Smartnick and wife Vickie all of Greensburg; ten grandchildren: Rachel, Benjamin, Amanda, Tiffany, Adam, Jordan, Luke, Jacob, Ethan and Gage; and several great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with The Rev. Martin L.
