Yolanda M. Talamo

Yolanda M. Talamo, 90, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2018.  Yolanda graduated from the College of New Rochelle in New York, and earned her master’s degree from Middlebury College in Vermont.  She married Joseph, her caring, gentle, and devoted husband of 67 years on July 29, 1950.  Together they raised and provided educations for their five children.  They have been blessed with twelve grandchildren and one perfect great-grandson.  Faith and family were the foundation of Yolanda’s life.  Her passion as an educator was evident by her years of dedication as a Spanish teacher at Hempfield Area High School.  Those who were fortunate enough to know her, knew her strong spirit, her warm smile, and her kind heart, but also realized that she was a force to be reckoned with.  The family requests a private funeral and wishes to thank all of those individuals who cared for her.  Yolanda believed kindness mattered.  Leo M.
