William A. Frank, 70, of Greensburg, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born January 14, 1947 in Greensburg, a son of the late William P. and Ruth Ann (Walko) Frank. Prior to his retirement in 2006 he had been a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local #66. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Fox Hill Club, Crabtree Firemen’s Club, Hannastown Firemen’s Club, Bovard Firemen’s Club, A&B Club of Youngwood, Ukes of New Alexandria and the Old Crabtree Sportsmen’s Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law: Les Gauden. He is survived by his wife: Rebecca D. “Becky” (Gauden) Frank; his brothers and sisters: Carol Ann Batenburg, Joseph L. “Doaks” Frank and wife Ann, Karen Lee Steenwijk and husband Ron, Gerald A. Frank and wife Suzie and Tina Marie Flickinger and husband William; his brother-in-law: Ed Gauden and fiancé Mary; his sister-in-law: Karen Gauden; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with his brother-in-law: William Flickinger officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard. www.bachafh.com
