Viola M. (Volpe) Wetmore, 93, of Greensburg, died Friday, July 7, 2017 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 4, 1924 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Angelo and Concetta (D’Auria) Volpe. Prior to retirement she had been employed at Hillview Manor and later the Greensburg Elks.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother: James Volpe; 2 sisters: Mary Brandonio and Helen Poharsky; a son-in-law: George Achtziger.  She is survived by a son: Frank Wetmore and his wife Mary Ellen, of Monessen; 2 daughters: Sharon Achtziger, of Hunker; and Kathy Wetmore, of Greensburg; 3 grandchildren: Scott, Melissa and Jon; 3 great grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew and Sophia. There will be no public visitation.  A private family viewing and funeral liturgy will be held in the funeral home. Private interment will be held in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. LEO M.
