Ray Beck Obituary

Ray E. Beck, 87, of Greensburg, died Saturday, March 31, 2018 in New Haven Court, Greensburg.  He was born May 2, 1930 in New Kensington, a son of the late Ernest and Laura Geneva (Young) Beck.  Prior to retirement he had been a mechanical engineer for Westinghouse Corporation, Youngwood.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg and was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Beck.  Ray is survived by his wife, Sandra J. (Barchiesi) Beck; his son, Roger E. Beck and wife Emiko I., of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Christy Ann Goswick and husband Rick and Kathy B. Wood, all of Ligonier; six grandchildren, Daniel Goswick, Jeffery Goswick (Jenny), Julie Goswick (fiancée Jeffrey), Christopher Wood, Mikhala I. Heil and Evan M. Beck; two great-grandchildren, Letty Ray and MiaLee Hope; two brothers, Harvey Beck and wife Midge, of Findlay, OH and Reuben Beck and wife Mabel, of Sarver; two sisters, Jean Trego, of Savanna, GA and Betty James, of Sarver; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Nathan Watkins officiating.  Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard will follow.  Private interment in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  www.bachafh.com
