Mary Jane Allen, 94, of Greensburg, died Monday, March 19, 2018 in Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe, where she was a proud resident. She was born September 13, 1923 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Paul G. and Hazel May (Powell) Kuhns. She had been employed by I.T.E., WHJB and Westmoreland Construction. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Greensburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Dale Allen in 1991; and her brother, Donald Ray Kuhns. Mary Jane is survived by two daughters, Terry Garlits and husband Pat, and Debbie Kniss and husband Tim, all of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Chrissy Eberts (Matthew), Jamie Schall (Ron), Scott Garlits, Allen Kniss and Tyler Kniss; six great-grandchildren, Katie, Madelyn and Josie Jane Eberts and Ronnie, Jacob and Lucas Schall; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Allen, of Greensburg and Jean Kuhns of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 AM to 12 Noon Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral service will begin at 12 Noon with the Rev. Michael Alfieri officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice, 260 Alpha Dr., Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
