Edith P. Burns, 93, of South Greensburg, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in her home. She was born July 29, 1924 in Elmira, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Gertrude (Truxel) Penrod. Prior to retirement she had been a fashion illustrator and artist for G.C. Murphy Co., Pittsburgh. She was Protestant by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Burns in 1997; and her brother, William G. Penrod. She is survived by two sons, John R. Burns and wife Tina, of Greensburg and William R. Burns and wife Paula, of Canton, OH; two daughters, Margurete “Penny” Kistner and husband Anthony, of South Greensburg and Victoria Haney and husband Dan, of Pensacola, FL; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev.
