David W. Barlock, 69, of Whitney, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Bethlen Home, Ligonier. He was born July 9, 1948, in Greensburg, a son of the late William J. Sr. and Mary (Osif) Barlock. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and prior to retirement, worked at Latrobe Steel. David was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger, Unity Township American Legion Post 982 and Kingston Vets and Sportsmen's Club. He is survived by two brothers, William J. Jr. and wife, Amy, of Latrobe, and Robert W. Barlock and wife, Sheila, of State College; and four nieces and nephews, Nathaniel, Trevor, Alena and Alejandro. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Panachida service will begin at 9:20 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger, with the Rev. Paul-Alexander Shutt, OSB, as celebrant. Military service by Armbrust Veterans and interment will follow in St. Mary Byzantine Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
