I'm very sorry to Blase's family and to everybody who cared for Blase.
As kids growing up he was always the nicest guy. He had a tougher path than most kids and somehow stayed true to his caring and thoughtful nature. In spite of hardships that would break most kids, Blase instead worked hard to further his education and build himself into a huge strong young man with the kindest heart.
Having moved from the area I lost touch with him and except for one exceptionally thoughtful appearance by Blase at my Dad's funeral service, I hadn't seen him in nearly 25 years. Given the seriousness of his own condition made the visit even more special.
It's amazing that life can be so cruel to such a gentle soul as Blase.
Run and be strong Blase!
